Dear Soultrackers,

I'm so happy to finally release my debut CD. I've been working professionally doing backrground vocals and I'm really excited for people to hear me in the forefront. I was blessed to work with some of the most talented writers/producers for this project especially my parents, Michael and Brenda Sutton. I grew up listening to the sounds of Motown soul music and they've taught me so much. I'm still learning from them!

JAMES INGRAM

James Ingram was one of the biggest male soul singers of the 80s, with a slew of hits under the tutelage of producer-supreme, Quincy Jones.  But the well-loved baritone has largely been out of the spotlight this decade.  Well, this month James returns with his first new album of the 21st century and his first Gospel CD, Stand (In the Light).  We had a chance to talk to James and thought this would be a great time for SoulTrackers to catch up with this longtime favorite.
