Beyonce marks her 25th birthday with a gutsy, upbeat foray into grown-up territory with B-Day. The set will probably stand the test of time as the album where the pop princess cast off the silk robe and got down and dirty with the common folks.
Dreey-C’s self-titled effort is a solidly middle ground release. In
other words, while it doesn’t stand out from the pack it does at least
show that the artist knows what he’s doing.
Cherish, the talented sister quartet from Atlanta, come through beautifully with Unappreciated, their first set for Capitol, which showcases their slightly edgy, yet smoothed out pop appeal.
