So here we are folks with another typical "album." Cassie and her self-titled debut orchestrated by woefully plastic mentor P. Diddy, is about as predictable as the sun coming up.

And yeah, you can say "She's only 19," but so was Alicia Keys by the time she was signed by Clive Davis.
Cassie shines at her brightest on the popular, insipid "Me&U" which to this day deludes all reasoning at having made it to No. 1 on the charts, even if it was only a slow chart week. More imsomnia-curing follows with "Long Way To Go," a fair assessment of this young lady's woefully undeveloped talent. She's very pretty, but then again so is Mya, and hey she can actually sing.
Don't be fooled, I'm on Cassie's side. There is talent there, but hopefully she will actually get proper guidance as opposed to being marketed as no more than eye candy with sass.
Dear Diddy, you can over-produce anything to disguise the ugly truth, but even this high tech factor can't hide the lack of vocal skills. Thankfully the defective advance copy of this tripe gave out somewhere around track nine, just when I was considering shooting myself.
