R&B Soul reviews Cherish, the talented sister quartet from Atlanta, come through beautifully with Unappreciated, their first set for Capitol, which showcases their slightly edgy, yet smoothed out pop appeal.

Although the group still has a sound evocative of early Destiny's Child, they've managed to continue to carve out their own sound which has developed considerably since they first came on the scene in 2003 under Jermaine Dupri's watchful eye. Tight harmonies and passionately delivered vocals make the set an easy listen.

Farrah (22), Neosha (20), and twins Felisha and Fallon (18) wrote most of the songs on the album and do a good job of covering the bases ranging from snap to  hearfelt ballads and club jams. They cover a broad span of topics such as dudes who call too much (the hilarious "Stop Calling Me"), love gone wrong on the tight title track, and lust with “Show And Tell” featuring the lyric "Want you to show me that you want it like you're fresh out of jail."

Hot, capable production from the likes of Jazze Pha, Dre & Vidal and Don Vito make up for any shortcomings like the strangely misogynist "Chevy" where the girls request to be treated like a car.

The enhanced 12-track set also features "How To Snap" from their DVD as well as the video for the hit “Do It To It.”
