From the intro to the outro, the innovative positive vibe that flows through each track makes it impossible to turn off. “Noon Time” is shockingly different than what anyone would expect; a trippy rock instrumental with Southern Californian surfer vocals.

The rest of the album is priceless. “Lift Me Up” is a feel good hit with a thumping irresistible beat courtesy of Eligh. With vocals like: “It’s so unusual, cause I feel so fly today,” you can’t help but be uplifted.

Headnodic mixes up a smooth jazzy beat in “Trains and Planes.” It is the perfect traveling song for the flight back home.

Tune in to “Too Much” featuring Chali2Na of Jurassic 5. A classic track that explains the evil that can accompany wealth if people let it go their head.

Esthero’s beautiful voice adds a touch of femininity in “Make U Fly.” A perfect blend of rock and hip-hop, Zion I and the Grouch express their appreciation of women; mothers, girlfriends, wives, and Mother Earth.

Does the beat in “Kickin’ It” sound familiar? Probably so, if you are a fan of, punk and reggae band, The Clash. The sampled track, “The Guns of Brixton,” is off of the 1979 double-disc London Calling.

Zion I and the Grouch swear off technology in “Digital Age;” blaming cell phones for memory loss and car accidents, virtual sex and robotic pets as replacements for human interaction, and referring to the postal service as “snail mail.” Ironically, the Grouch ends the song frustrated, “turn them Pro Tools off, I’m finished writing it.”

The Grouch gets personal in “10 Fingers 10 Toes 10lbs. 10oz.” with a lullaby to his baby girl. A song that definitely will bring a tear to your eye, especially with its ultra sensitive Spanish chorus and Latin groove.

Zion I and the Grouch are powerfully exhilarating on their own, but together there isn’t a word to describe the feeling they create through their music.
