Back-burnered for three+ years, Clipse' sophomore release is worth every pushed back drop date and premature leak.

Hell Hath
No Fury is relentless brilliance running
lyrical rings around other November releases from major weights Jay-Z
and Snoop Dogg.
The set's lean, mean soundscapes come courtesy of the Neptunes, sounding like they just returned from one harsh workout at the production gym. Meanwhile, track after track serves up hot steaming grime, with hunger running rampant through spartan percussive tracks "Momma I'm So Sorry," super funky reluctant dance track "Aint Cha" and the barren creepy aural background of "Ride Around Shining" punctuated by the disturbing sound of what just may be a dying pianist's fingers stumbling down a keyboard. Even a neo-soul crooner can only wax eerie as "Nightmares" finds Bilal caterwauling the hook like a paranoid, strapped Smokey Robinson.
Lyrical daggers fly especially swift with the malicious "Keys Open Doors" and whether you think Hell... is better than, or not as good as We Got It For Cheap mixtape fare, there's no denying the strength of this release. Cop.
