Solomon, Tone, Shamale, Shay are two sets of brothers, who are also blood cousins. Named for their beloved hometown of Midwest City, Oklahoma, the group grew up with a love of music honed in their household as well as their local church. After setting out to California in 2001, the fellas pursued their dream while building on the songwriting skills. “When we came out [to Sacramento], we were sleeping on floors and might eat once a day,” shared Shay. Their talent was eventually discovered, and led to gigs as opening acts for the likes of Dave Hollister, Yolanda Adams, Tank, Mystikal, Avant, K-Ci and JoJo and more. Now, after signing with Universal Motown in 2005, Midwest City's admirable first single, "One Love" produced by Cool & Dre, serves as a touching, soulful ode to true love. So until you can get your hands on the album, listen to "One Love" below and get the scoop on Midwest City (listen) right now with our exclusive audio interview, also below. AUDIO:
