hip-hop reviews Hearththrob Omarion delivers the likeably sexy, if pedestrian, goods on his sophomore set simply titled 21 to drive home the point that he's, finally, legal and ready to try and let it all hang out.

The former B2Ker hooks up with the production likes of Timbaland, The Neptunes, The Underdogs and Eric Hudson for solid, driving production which might hopefully translate into more sales than the barely-gold 2005 debut O.

The set's lead single "Entourage" is a definite banger with the trademark jumpy genius of Timb acting as a slithery foundation. Additional tracks "Midnight," "Icebox" show that Omarion has definitely grown up in his boy toy image and seen a thing or two since his first solo set.

The material sees the 21 year-old sincerely reaching towards expansion and singing his cute little heart out; open on the revealing "Needs" and out to show a girl a good time on “Have You Ever Been With A Star.”

So what if he doesn't have the range of some of his more gifted contemporaries. Anyone who compares O to the likes of Ne-Yo or Chris Brown just doesn't get it. Omarion knows where he fits into the big picture and expertly exploits his little niche.

And did I mention he's cute?
