Offering the type of sound that burns itself into your music frontal lobe, the largely acoustic Bees + Things + Flowers, offers a little over 50 minutes of sunshine, spanning covers of music staples such as a sweet interpretation of Earth, Wind & Fire's timeless "That's The Way Of The World," a capable remake of Ayers' aforementioned acid jazz uber-classic "Everybody Loves The Sunshine," (which inspired the album's title), and a soulfully electric rendition of America's soft rock classic "Tin Man."

Thrown into the mellow mix are astonishing re-workings of prior Incognito hits such as "Always There," "Still A Friend Of Mine," and "Everyday," as well as new songs from the group's veteran core member composer/musician/singer, Jean-Paul "Bluey" Maunick.

Despite featuring more lead vocalists than any other Incognito album (Maysa, Carleen Anderson, Imaani, Joy Rose, Tony Momrelle and Tyrone Henry), the album effortlessy glides from song to song. At 11 tracks the set, the group's first offering on Blue Note Records is the perfect length to leave you wanting to hear more, so sit back, grab a martini and hit the continuous replay button.
