"Push Up On It" is a fun, bouncy dance romp that reminds one of a young Madonna, while Rihanna's lack of meaty singing skills become transparent on the unfortunate early-90s flavored "Don't Stop The Music," (sampling Michael Jackson's classic "Wanna Be Startin' Something") and the disappointingly bland title track.
More woes surface with the cheesy "Breakin' Dishes," while the obvious contender for single #2, the duet "Hate How Much I Love You" is a creative step down for collaborator Ne-Yo. Nevertheless, those predictable hand claps so dominant in all the latter's work, manage to rise to diamond status in a set full of coals. "Question Existing" is a blaring example of why the 19 year-old should opt not to attempt ballads, but things pick of with the scintillating hip gyrations of "Sell Me Candy" and the big carnival rave of "Lemme Get That."
