R&B/Hip-hop charts this week: Keyshia Cole is the queen, Alicia Keys grabs the top spot, and Tyler Perry cracks the Top 10.
Keyshia Cole cops the No. 1 spot on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart this week with Just Like You. The soulful heir to the Mary J. Blige throne recently announced plans to tour the U.S. with R. Kelly and is riding a wave of smash singles including "Let It Go" featuring Missy Elliot & Lil' Kim. The album, which jumps 3-1, is in its 3rd week on the chart. New albums this week include The Isley Brothers The Definitive Collection at No. 29, and 8Ball & Devius' The Vet & The Rookie at No. 31.
This week's top song comes from none other than Alicia Keys. "No One" has been steadily climbing the chart ever since it appeared 8 weeks ago, and steps up an easy 2-1 to claim the throne on the Hot R&B/Hip-hop Songs list. The anthemic track also gets the title of fastest growing track at radio as it rises 8-4 on the Hot 100. |
