Notorious B.I.G.'s Wrongful Death Lawsuit Gets Reinstated PDF Print E-mail
Written by West Brown
A Los Angeles judge has reinstated a wrongful-death lawsuit brought by the family of rap legend Notorious B.I.G.

The lawsuit was thrown out March 21 by U.S. District Judge Florence-Marie Cooper who determined the family missed a state deadline.  The family appealed, and Judge Cooper reversed her decision Thursday after finding federal claims in the case can proceed.

B.I.G., whose real name was Christopher Wallace, was murdered in 1997 in Los Angeles. The killing remains unsolved.

The lawsuit, the second one to be filed since 2002, contends that rogue police officers plotted to murder Wallace with cover-up by the LAPD.
