hip-hop reviewsEverybody, their mama and the kitchen sink "join" the late Notorious B.I.G. on this set executive producer Diddy calls a "tribute." More than thirty guest artists and over twenty producers collide with warmed over verses shredded and stitched back together into a Frankenstein quilt inadequate to cover Biggie's legacy. "Nasty Girl" is a prime example of this release's rampant schlop: uninspired, old and re-heated in a microwave by a seemingly comatose Jazze Pha, while “Hold Your Head” furthers the blasphemy by exploiting the late great Bob Marley. Whoever titled this a collection of duets must have been smoking 80's crack. Or perhaps they thought the few acceptable tracks, ("Living in Pain" featuring 2Pac, Mary J. Blige, and Nas is an atmospheric stand out) were enough to cover up the ultimate failure of this album. - Ifè Oshun
